A ghostly allegory

An allegory is an excersies artist often use to learn perspective and collect senses of yourself. It’s often pictured as a room filled with symbols that represent the artist.

I made this after moving back in with my parents and if you’re someone in their 20s who had to move in with their parents you often feel like you’ve reverted back to your 17 year old self in many ways. I wanted my allegory to reflect the feelings of change, ego death and reconnecting with your inner child.

I’ve added versions of myself that I haven’t connected to for a long time. Darker versions and light versions, the feeling of being a shell of yourself and having to bury versions of yourself so that you can keep growing. It’s a coming of age.
